The Malus domestica ‘James Grieve’, better known as the James Grieve Apple Tree, is a classic heritage variety first raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, and introduced in 1893. Loved for its dual-purpose fruit, it offers a refreshing sharpness when picked early and a sweet, aromatic flavour when left to ripen. With its pretty pink-white spring blossom, reliable crops, and adaptability to the UK climate, this is a must-have for gardeners, allotment holders, and small orchard owners.

    James Grieve Apple Tree

I bought this for my friend's birthday. Fiona offered excellent advice, taking the time to make sure I chose exactly the right tree to meet my friend's requirements. Delivery was fast and the tree arrived on the day it was ordered for. It was well packaged and my friend was absolutely thrilled with it! Although I am not local to Bowhayes Trees, the cost to deliver was very reasonable and I will definitely purchase from them again. Highly recommend.
