Description
'White Cloud' is a particularly attractive variety of Cornus florida with its masses of creamy white flower bracts that sit amongst mid-green oval foliage in April/May. In autumn, the leaves turn vivid shades of purple and red, providing a magnificent display of colour. Following the flowers are bright red fruits, which are sought after by birds.
Planting Position
American flowering Dogwood prefers a sunny to partially shaded position in the shelter of other trees and shrubs. Plant in moist, well-drained neutral to acid soil with lots of organic matter. The sunnier the sContainer, the more intense the colour display.
Attributes
This tree provides masses of large, white flower bracts giving the garden a wonderful spring display, followed by fruits to attract wildlife, finishing with a blaze of colour for autumn.
