Description
Katsura is a magnificent Japanese Maple for the smaller garden which will provide colour for the better part of the year. With five lobed leaves, this tree has impressive spring foliage that is pale yellow with bright orange margins, turning to yellow-green in the summer and then orange and bright yellow colours in the autumn.
Planting Position
This tree requires a sheltered area that is preferably away from strong winds. It will thrive in full sun but needs partial shade to protect the trees from scorch. These are easy trees to grow and can handle a wide range of well-drained soils.
Attributes
Katsura has a distinctive appearance due to its leaves curving slightly downwards.
