Description
Victory was developed at the Vineland Research Centre, Ontario in Canada, and is a cross between Valor and Vision, which were also developed in the same research centre. They are eceptionally large for a plum and take on a heart-shape with blue skin and greenish-yellow flesh that is juicy, sweet with an excellent flavour. They can be eaten fresh and are just as fabulous for cooking and processing. The fruits ripen early September.
Planting Position
Because plums have quite high moisture requirements, they are best planted in loamy or clay soils that must be well-drained, as plums do not do well in waterlogged ground. Plums are hardy trees, however they are one of the first to flower, so it's important to plant them out of frost pockets and windy areas, so not to damage the flowers. Preferably a sheltered and sunny sContainer will give you the best results.

Victory plums are easy to grow with the added benefit of ripening early and its heavy yields.
